Twin Flames: How I met my soul mate!

​Who is your Soul mate???? 

As the American writer Richard Bach said, “A soulmate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are.”

Your soul mate is not necessarily your romantic partner…… They can also be your best friend, your mom or your dad, or even your favourite teacher!! The person who has the power to ignite a fire within you, a fire of warmth and passion and comfort, that person is your soul mate…. Someone who is aligned with your soul and is sent to challenge, awaken and stir different parts of your soul. 

It is not always true that your soul mate will have to become your life partner or that they both are the same person, no. Soul mates and life partners are both very separate and different things. Your life partner is there to support and be with you throughout your life and also as important as your soul mate. 

A very few of us are lucky enough to get a Soul mate and a life partner as the same person. 

I met my soul mate when I was 19. A young, immature and juvenile girl who had ABSOLUTELY no clue about life. A girl who was very scared to stand up for herself  scared to be left out and mortified of the idea of breaking rules. But this person was what I needed in my life. Though he was just 21 YO, I have never met a person with so much life, courage and such a disregard for rules. 

He taught me almost everything I needed to live a fulfilling life. He made me understand that it was okay to let go, to relax and enjoy, to try new things, to pamper yourself, to break rules and to enjoy your own company (Something we call “Me Time”). I am very few of the lucky ones who found her soul mate, her life partner and her best friend in one person. 

People who know us and are friends with us often ask us that how do we do it because we are universes apart in nature….. Well as they say “opposite attracts” and for us the forces where toooooo strong I guess…. Lol!! It’s not always roses and giggles, we have our ups and downs. But the secret is we know that no one is going anywhere, we fight, we make up- it’s as simple as that!!!! 

Even as spouses, we still have our “Me Time”, something we strongly believe in, and we both have our own independent lives. The best part is we know at the end of the day, we are going to tell each other every thing about our day. That’s what keeps the magic alive I guess…… 

So here’s wishing you that may each of you get your soul mate and may they change your lives forever!!!! Don’t lose hope, they ARE out there for you!! And who knows maybe they were there all along, you just need to look into their souls and find out more about the truth in their eyes!!!!
